Behavior Technician Job Description

We provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment for children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities.

Advanced Behavioral Health is looking for enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to join our growing team.

We are looking for full-time and part-time candidates to work with our awesome kiddos.   

Our Behavior Technicians work one-on-one with children in their homes, schools, our clinic, and in the community.

No experience necessary - you will receive comprehensive training and weekly oversight with our licensed supervisors.

You will be teaching a wide range of skills from language and communication, social skills, self-help skills, and play skills.

Behavior Technician Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • BA/BS degree in psychology or a closely related field (e.g. social work, education, etc.) AA may be substituted.
  • Must be energetic, reliable, caring, and have means of transportation with a clean driving record
  • Must complete a background check (Livescan fingerprints)
  • Conduct one-on-one sessions in homes, schools, and in the community, driving as needed
  • Collect daily data via tablets and implement positive behavioral supports developed by supervisors
  • Facilitate social skill playdates
  • Work directly with families to teach programs, integrate siblings into sessions, work within the home and community settings

 

All services provided by our company are high energy, interactive, and physical in nature. As such, the position requires the employee to:

  • Get up quickly from the floor;
  • Bend, squat, kneel;
  • Be able to stand for at least two hours at a time;
  • Run at a moderate pace;
  • Turn, twist, reach;
  • Lift at least 50 lbs.

Clinical Supervisor

 

Due to the growth of our business, Advanced Behavioral Health, Inc. is in demand for the professional services of a Clinical Supervisor. The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for the following duties:.

Job Description:

  • Design and oversee Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and facilitate Behavior Intervention Plans and adjust the current program based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA);
  • Regularly analyzes session data and reviews documentation submitted by Behavior Technicians, such as session notes and lesson plans;
  • Conduct client's team meetings to update the client's treatment plan and to support behavior technicians and parents on the team;
  • Assess the client's treatment needs and write detailed goals and objectives for each client's treatment plan so that progress may be tracked and measured;
  • Provide ongoing education and training to behavior technicians, parents, and other professionals to implement ABA treatment plans;
  • Coordinate with Clinical Directors for supervision and program improvement ;
  • Conduct assessments (initial and ongoing) and produce progress reports and treatment plans to meet the submission timelines of various funding sources;
  • Conduct coordination of care with specialists, including OT, SLP, psychologist, and teacher.
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and supervise ABA programs

Minimum Requirements:

  • BCBA certification
  • Master's degree in psychology, counseling, behavior analysis, or related;
  • 1-year experience working as a behavior technician implementing ABA interventions with children with autism and other developmental disorders
  • Expertise in approaches to intervention based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis;
  • Knowledge and experience with DTT, NATS/NET, FCT, PRT, PECS;
  • Experience conducting assessments: VB-MAPP, Vineland, DAY-C 2, ABLLS;
  • Ability to maintain customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions.

  • Conducting developmental evaluations alongside our multidisciplinary team of OTs, PTs, and BCBAs.

What you need to have:

  • Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology

  • Current license by the California Board of Occupational Therapy.
